Well, Mr. Nix is a typographer, designer, and educator. He's a partner in the publishing firm Scott & Nix, Inc. and is President of the Type Directors Club. He served as Chair of the Communication Design Department at the Parsons School of Design and has taught design and typography for over fifteen years.

And why is he running the New York City Marathon? To raise money for design scholarships, of course. And to stay healthy. It's his fifth NYC Marathon, and he feels strongly, despite his ever-advancing age, that it will be his fastest yet.
